Book Organization... Delicious for retentive collectors!

How to Arrange My Books on apartmenttherapy.com

Someone asked a question about how to best arrange books, and many bibliophiles jumped to the task of commenting with their own organizational advice. Lots of links with photos for those of us who like that kind of stuff. A few people were big fans of arranging books by color... completely impractical for me, but the photos do look cool.

I'm still in desperate need of more bookshelves, but still hung up on what color, style and how much I am willing to spend on them right now. And which, if any, of my collectibles will be on display in the living room, office space, bedroom, etc.? I know that my bust of The Comic Book Guy dressed up as the superhero, The Collector, will have to go somewhere with a lot of geeky toys.

I really wish that I had discovered this site while I was still living with too much stuff for the apartment size that I had! Apartment Therapy, indeed. Maybe I'm having a hard time deciding how to acquire and arrange my bookshelves because I've never really had the kind of space I have now.  I know, I really know, that I should not be even hinting at a complaint about that. For the record, I am not. I am still overwhelmed with the space I have and how all of my possessions are like goldfish. They just grow to fit the space.

Who wants to clean the algae off my rocks?

Geek of the Week back in motion

Nooo!  I just lost my last entry.  Suuuuck. I have to go to work!

So here are two quick links for you to check out that I've updated:

Geek of the Week

Crazy Emails (there's a new entry at the bottom, with more to come when I'm not updating in my caffeinated pre-work procrastination)

If you haven't already submitted an entry to Geek of the Week, do it now!  I have a few to get me through the end of October, and then there are only two months left before the end of the year and the voting for the Geek of the Year... who will win a very sweet, geekalicious autographed prize!  Not by me, but by someone who's actually famous.  Fer real, peeps! Peace out and such.
