Cheese Plate

This cheese plate goes well with wine and friends. And chocolate fondue. And lots of snacks and a little beer. That’s about all I have tonight!

Yum! What are they? Where’s the French loaf?

If you like Brie, you’ll love Mont d’Or, and you might also enjoy Morbier (the “authentic” kind, with the little air bubbles in it).

The bread and crackers are off camera! The cheeses are Gruyere, mozzarella, Jarlsberg, Chevre goat cheese spread, and Brie. I had blocks of cheddar and pepper jack, too, but didn’t end up pulling those out.

I’ll keep an eye out for Morbier!

Ooh, looks good! Friend came back from ski holiday last week, and arranged a last minute cheese fondue (mixing Gruyere, Mont d’Or and a third one I don’t remember) two days ago. Now I’m making myself hungry again…

Just discovered your blog, love your writing style. And I remember filling in that geek test ages ago! it’s good to know it’s still around, although as your post said, it requires some updates (btw would love to help out!)

Thank you, Melinda! I’m glad to provide some level of entertainment value. The best help you can provide for the geek test at this point is to contribute suggestions, and stay tuned here on my blog when I start begging and pleading for more feedback. :)

Cheese fondue is making me drool… and get a little gassy just thinking about it (stupid lactose intolerance).
